Your Voiceover FAQs

The all-mighty demo is a professionally directed, recorded and produced audio example consisting of various short clips that feature you doing your very best voice work. You'll need a demo to show off your skills, sound, vocal range and style in order for an agent or talent buyer to hear what you can do with your voice. The demo is your voice portfolio and it has to be current and outstanding in order to get attention.

Absolutely not. I work with voice talent from all over the world. If you have a broadcast quality home studio, you can record from there and I’ll direct you via Zoom. Or you can book a couple of hours at a studio near you and I’ll direct you via Zoom as well. Either way, it will sound as if you were in my studio and you’ll sound great! Once we’re done with the recording aspect of your demo, you or the studio will send me the audio files and I’ll work my magic and produce it from here.

Well, the first thing we do is have a meeting to discuss your demo's content, direction, image and how we want to sell you as a voice actor. Then, It takes me about 2 weeks to put all the voice over scripts together for you. After that, I'll email you the finished scripts and we'll book a recording date. The actual recording session should take about 2 hours and then it’ll take me another 10 days or so to post (add music and sound effects), mix and master your demo. The whole process should take about 5 weeks from start to finish.

Please send me an email through the contact page and let me know what type of demo you're interested in having produced. I will promptly send you a response with a price quote. Always remember: "It’s unwise to pay too much, but it’s worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money — that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do." - John Ruskin

The answer is, absolutely yes. Things gave changed a lot in voice over and having a broadcast quality home studio is a MUST. And agent won't sign you without one and no one will work with you without one. If you don't have a home studio yet I can guide you as to what you will need so you're not guessing and making bad costly gear choices.

After our initial free consultation and or pre-production meeting, if we both agree you’re ready to move forward with your voice over demo production, 50% of the total balance will be due at that time. I accept all major credit cards, Venmo and PayPal. There are no contracts or long-term commitments.

Yes and No. Let me explain… If you’re not an actor or you’ve never taken any voice over classes before, I would highly recommend that you do and I would be more than happy to recommend a few coaches that will prepare you for the very important step of recording your demo. Once you’re ready to move forward, what you’ll learn from me (in and out of the booth) you won’t learn from any coach. I’ll prepare you for success!

No I’m not. However, some of my clients often contact me looking for various types of voices and I often will refer voice actors I know and have worked with to them.

For a separate fee, I work with you to create a customized marketing plan that meets your short and long-term career goals.

Most of the time I’m in the studio recording so the best way to get a hold of me is by email. Email me from the contact page on my site and I will personally reply to you just as quickly as I can.

I'm available by phone at 818-385-1000, but when I'm in a recording session (which is often) the answering service will pick up. Please leave your name, contact number and who referred you to me and I'll call you back. An email will get you a quicker response.
